One more day in paradise
Saturday, May 19th, 2007So tomorrow is my last day in Orlando. I don't know if it was something I ate (Cheeburger Cheeburger, I'm looking at you) or just the stress of traveling, but I've felt sick to my stomach since yesterday afternoon, which is terrible timing. If I was going to get sick during this trip, I would have preferred it to happen anytime during the week, since I can still program just fine if I'm nauseous, but it's awfully hard to enjoy the extra downtime of the weekend without being further than 20 feet from a bathroom (just in case).
The work portion of this week's ScapeCon was productive. We planned out some new features that are going to rock your world once they're released. I'm not kidding - the next to you feel the ground shake, or even if you stumble a little bit, that's just us at Netscape, releasing new features and rocking your world.
I should probably get to sleep; I have to be up before 6 tomorrow to make it to the airport in time to catch my flight. (Hopefully the plane won't be as packed as my two flights were on the way here.) Once home, Christina and I are road-tripping it to Yellowstone, so I'll be offline for the majority of the next week.
Software isn't the only thing I build
Friday, April 20th, 2007Christina and I just finished remodeling the stoop in front of our house. What used to be crumbling concrete steps covered in peeling outdoor carpet is now a wider and more inviting stairway complete with flower boxes and new handrails.
Except for the handrail parts, we designed and built it ourselves from scratch (scratch being a pile of treated 2x12 lumber and some plywood). Now it's onto cleaning up the yard as it's late April and winter has finally ended in Minnesota.
Life is good
Friday, February 16th, 2007It's a Friday, Netscape 9 development is humming along, tonight is Casino Night at my wife's work, I found and bought a Wii today, and tomorrow is my birthday. Life is good.
Best Week Wife Ever
Thursday, February 15th, 2007
I have the best wife ever. For Valentine's Day, Christina got me Pixar's Cars videogame for the Nintendo Wii with an "IOU One Wii" note attached. Then, we had a Super Nintendo MarioKart tournament (her idea). Oh, and her card to me included the phrase "If you were a booger, I'd pick you first."
Sigh... How did I get so lucky?
